Before I am anything, I am a lover of words, language, writing, and especially good grammar. I have built my professional career around connecting with others through various forms of media and giving companies and individuals confidence in their writing. I have kept the essence of the writer in my work.
However, this passion has been rooted in my personal life from the moment I could spell and recognise the difference between your/you’re/you are. My love for language isn’t a phase. This passion led me to study journalism and eventually carve out a career that blends storytelling, editing, and creative freedom. I have enjoyed reading books in my spare time, particularly ones with strong female leads and non-fiction self-help books for my own personal growth. My time spent performing spoken word poetry during my university years led me to pursue publishing my poetry book, which was a big goal of mine. Now, I work with people who have something to say and want it said well. Whether it’s an article, a novel, a manuscript, or a voice that hasn’t found its form yet, I help bring it to life with clarity and depth.
Writing is necessary in everyday life. It’s a skill, and like any other skill, it can be developed with practice and dedication. I edit with a drive to create learning opportunities. My editing style helps people write with clarity and confidence, where growth can be seen.
What sets my writing style apart is its personable and authentic nature. Ideas, to me, should be expressed in a way that is relatable to the reader, no matter the subject. For me, the beauty of writing lies in its ability to forge connections between people. I aim to evoke emotions, spark curiosity, and provoke thoughtful contemplation.
I have a curious mind that is determined to seek out answers and resolutions. Beyond my career, I enjoy the thrill of travel, meeting new people, creating art, and watching a great foreign film or documentary. Curiosity drives everything I do. If there’s a better way to say it, a deeper story to tell, or a sharper edge to find, I’ll go looking for it.
